I miss that feeling. I really...didn't like the last book, and I miss the feeling of belonging and excitement and magic. In the end, I think I got it more from the movies than the books. And I can't believe I'm saying that.

There was a time I'd have been queueing up for a midnight showing right about now. Probably wearing my cloak and my Slytherin tie, clutching my wand, ridiculously excited.

And now? Yeah. Not so much.

Considering I kinda hated the book and threw it across the room on more than one occasion, I really liked the film. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, because film is such a different medium - take Half-Blood Prince, for example. I sobbed my way through the book, but the film left me completely emotionally cold. When I look back at my reactions to the book of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, it's quite...well, sad and amusing at the same time, to see how upset I was, how passionate and involved. And now watching the film I'm just...detached.
